(Georgetown, Guyana – January 12, 2023) The Guyana Basketball Federation (GABF) gives notice of the 2023 Elective Congress, which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, January 29, beginning at 10:00 AM at the GOA’s Olympic House, Block XXX Lililendaal, ECD.
The 2023 Elective Congress will include a compreshesive agenda including the presentation of reports for the period 2020-2022 and the election of executive officers for the term 2023-2027. All Sub-Associations and members are hereby invited to nominate candidates for the following Executive positions:
- President
- General Secretary
- 3 – Vice Presidents (Programs and Development, Marketing and Public Relations, and Discipline)
- Treasurer
- Assistant Secretary/Treasurer
- Technical Advisor
- 3 – At-Large Members
All nomination forms shall be submitted to Mr. Patrick Haynes at patrickhaynes@comcast.net and Mr. Joseph Chapman at joechapman223@yahoo.com no later that January 21st, 2023. Kindly note that all nominations must be accompanied by a one (1) page CV.
All full members are entitled two (2) votes and may represent only one (1) Association.
