GLASGOW, Scotland \u2013 July 24, 2026 \u2013 Guyana’s men’s 3×3 basketball team roared back to life at SEC Hall 4, securing their first win of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games with a hard-fought 21-17 victory over the Cayman Islands in Friday evening’s Pool A clash.<\/p>\n
The result marks a dramatic turnaround for the Guyanese squad, who bounced back from two earlier defeats against Scotland and New Zealand to keep their knockout stage hopes alive.<\/p>\n
Anish Ramlall was the hero of the night, leading all scorers with a game-high 9 points on a flawless 3\/4 from inside the arc and 3\/5 from beyond it. Captain Travis Belgrave added 7 points, including three 2-point baskets, while Kevin Mickle contributed 4 points, 5 rebounds, and a dunk that energized the Guyanese bench.
