The night belonged to the Ramlall sisters, who combined for an impressive 59 points. Ashna Ramlall led the way with 21, while Arshia and Amisha chipped in 19 apiece.<\/p>\n
Their offensive firepower proved decisive, but they also put in a gritty shift on the defensive end, keeping Suriname\u2019s scoring threats in check when it mattered most.<\/p>\n
For Suriname, Merliva Merica was outstanding despite the loss, dropping a game-high 32 points in a valiant individual effort.<\/p>\n
Unlike game one, where Guyana dominated from the opening tip, the visitors came out with a renewed sense of purpose, making the necessary adjustments to ensure a more competitive contest.<\/p>\n
The opening quarter saw both teams trading baskets, with Guyana narrowly edging ahead 18\u201317 at the first break.<\/p>\n

With Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson Jr., and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Kashif Muhammad, among the enthusiastic crowd, the Guyanese women closed out the game with composure.<\/p>\n
Suriname mounted a late push, but Guyana\u2019s disciplined defence and clock management ensured a statement win over their regional rivals.<\/p>\n
The series, sponsored by the Government of Guyana with support from Creative Titans and AdNation, not only showcased the Ramlall sisters\u2019 dominance but also highlighted Guyana\u2019s growing depth and resilience in women\u2019s basketball.<\/p>\n
In the supporting fixture, Anish Ramlall, the older brother of the Ramlall sisters, lit up the scoreboard with a game-high 28 points. However, his stellar effort wasn\u2019t enough to lift Linden past Georgetown in an entertaining U23 showdown.<\/p>\n
Jaden Simon paced Georgetown with 19 points, while Domitre Rankin added 17, as the home side pulled off an 83\u201375 victory.<\/p>\n
Kimmol Grimmond (13) and Hayden Virsami (12) also reached double figures, providing balanced scoring for the winners.<\/p>\n
For Linden, Stephen George netted 12 points, while Kobe Tappin and Shemar Huntley contributed nine apiece in support of Ramlall\u2019s big night.<\/p>\n
