The Guyana Basketball Officials Council (GBOC) is the governing body for basketball Officials in Guyana and includes, Commissioners, Game Officials (Referees), Table Officials, and Statisticians.<\/p>\n

GBOC Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To advance the game of basketball, follow the rules established by FIBA.<\/li>\n
  2. To train and maintain a cadre of\u00a0 <\/span>Officials to meet the needs of\u00a0basketball in Guyana.<\/li>\n
  3. To establish, develop, coordinate and assist in any programme or activity designed to improve the standard of Officiating.<\/li>\n
  4. To continually evaluate and improve the standard of Officiating.<\/li>\n
  5. To improve the status, protect the interests and promote the welfare of Officials.<\/li>\n
  6. To ensure that all games at which members officiate are played following\u00a0the rules of the\u00a0 <\/span>Game established by\u00a0 <\/span>FIBA\u00a0 <\/span>and\u00a0with the rules of the competition set down by competent local\u00a0authorities approved by the GBF.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
